The number of patients undergoing corona treatment in the country has come down to less than five lakh. However, it took 12 days to grow from six lakh to five lakh. The highest number of active cases was 10.17 lakh on September 17, since then it has been steadily declining. As on September 21, there were 9.75 lakh active cases. These reached 8.93 lakhs on October 8. It took a maximum of 17 days to close this gap of about one lakh.

In Uttar Pradesh, the number of people recovering more than new patients also increased on Wednesday. 1848 people were found infected within the last 24 hours. 2112 people recovered and 20 died. So far 5 lakh 3 thousand 159 people have been affected by the infection. Of these, 22 thousand 562 patients are undergoing treatment. So far 4 lakh 73 thousand 316 people have recovered. The death toll from the infection has now risen to 7,281.
