
Mumbai: Coronavirus cases are increasing rapidly in Maharashtra. Due to which the Uddhav Thackeray government has announced Night Curfew by implementing more stringent rules. Meanwhile, more than 41 thousand cases have been reported in the state. While 13 people have died. At the same time, more than 20 thousand cases have been registered in Mumbai for the third consecutive day. Apart from this, 133 infected of the new variant Omicron of Corona have been found. The Health Department of Maharashtra has given this information on Saturday.
According to the bulletin issued by the Health Department, 41,434 people have been found corona positive in the state in the last 24 hours. While 13 deaths have been registered. After getting new patients in the state, the total number of infected people has increased to 68,75,656 and the number of dead to 1,41,627.
According to the Health Department, 9,671 people have recovered from Corona in the last 24 hours in the state. So far 65,57,081 people have been cured of corona in the state. At present, 1,73,238 active patients are being treated in the state. The recovery rate in the state today is 95.37 and the death rate is 2.05 percent. At the same time, 8,45,089 people are in-home quarantine, and 1,851 people are in institutional quarantine.
Omicron infected number of 1009 in Maharashtra
According to the Health Department, 133 cases of Omicron have been registered in Maharashtra in 24 hours. Out of which maximum of 118 cases have been found in Pune, while 8 patients have been found in Pimpri Chinchwad, 3 in Pune Rural, 2 in Vasai Virar, and 1-1 in Ahmednagar-Mumbai. After the arrival of new cases, the number of Omicron infected in the state has increased to 1009. However, the good thing is that so far 439 people have defeated this dangerous virus among Omicron infected.

20,318 corona positives found in Mumbai
For the third consecutive day, 20,318 new cases of corona and 5 deaths have been registered in Mumbai. After which the total number of infected has increased to 8,95,098. While 16,399 people have lost their lives so far.
While in Mumbai, 6,003 people have recovered from this deadly virus in the last 24 hours. So far 7,70,056 people have recovered and returned home to the state. At present, there are 1,06,037 active cases in the city. Here today the recovery rate has been recorded at 86%.
Of the new patients found in Mumbai today, 1,257 have been admitted to the hospital. While 108 patients needed oxygen. At present, 2,835 patients are on oxygen. 7,234 patients are being treated in hospitals. Mumbai has 33,803 beds, out of which 26,569 beds are vacant.
Amidst the increasing cases of Corona and the threat of Omicron, the Government of Maharashtra has issued a new guideline. Under which night curfew will be applicable in the state from January 10. According to the guidelines issued by the government, swimming pools, gyms, spas, beauty salons, zoos, museums, and amusement parks will remain closed. At the same time, salons and malls will start with 50 percent capacity.

- Use of public transport will be allowed only after taking 2 doses.
- Hotel restaurant, cinema, auditorium at only 50 percent capacity till 10 pm
- Swimming pool, gym, spa will remain closed
- 50 people will be present in the wedding and 20 people will be present in the funeral
- Playgrounds, gardens, tourist places will remain closed
- Malls will continue to operate at 50 per cent capacity
- Essential services will be exempted even after 11 pm
- Strict rules for entry in Maharashtra
- RTPCR test mandatory for both doses of COVID preventive vaccine or 72 hours prior to entering Maharashtra
- Only those who are fully vaccinated can enter hotels and restaurants.
- Home delivery service will continue full time
- Those traveling for MPSC, UPSC exams or competitive exams will be allowed to travel on hall tickets
- 24-hour office workers will be added to essential services
- Both doses of vaccine are mandatory for those working in shops, hotels and restaurants.
- Action will be taken against the hotel, shop or restaurant concerned if the person who has not taken both the doses of vaccine is found to be working.
