
Kota: Heavy rain, which has been happening for 4 consecutive days in the Kota division of Rajasthan, has now started showing the sight of devastation. Rainfall in Kota city as well as Etawah and Sultanpur region has broken the record of last 40 years. The district administration has issued a red alert for Tuesday. State government officials and employees have been banned from leaving the district headquarters without permission. Collector Ujjwal Rathod has issued its orders. Along with this, rescue teams have also been made ready. Dozens of villages in the district have been cut off from the main roads due to waterlogging.
Hundreds of fields have been submerged in the Kota district due to heavy rains. The crops have reached the verge of ruin. Due to this, lines of concern have been drawn on the foreheads of the farmers. From Tuesday, the SDRF team will take over the responsibility of rescue in the waterlogged village of the Etawah area. For this, a special team from Kota has reached Etawah. Due to incessant rains in the region, the rivers related to Madhya Pradesh are Parvati, Parvan, Kalisindh, and Chambal rivers in spate. Chadar is running on the Kethuda culvert near Khatauli for the last 4 days. Due to this, State Highway 70 is completely obstructed. Along with this, water sheets are also running on the culverts in the surrounding areas. They have been damaged by this.

A woman struggling with labor pain trapped in the village
Incessant rains have caused water-logging in the villages of the Etawah and Sultanpur region. During this, on Monday, Pooja, who was suffering from labor pain in Dhanwa village near Khatauli, got stuck in Bairwa village. Due to waterlogging, the family members were unable to take him to the hospital. Later, the district administration took a boat and brought the victim to the main road through 108 ambulances to Khatauli Hospital.
Lok Sabha Speaker Birla gave instructions to provide relief
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla reviewed the situation by discussing with Chief Secretary Niranjan Arya over the phone regarding the damage caused by heavy rains in many districts of the state including the Kota-Bundi parliamentary constituency. The Speaker said that the period of excessive rainfall is going on in many districts of the state including Hadoti. Due to this, crops have also been damaged in many villages. He asked the Chief Secretary to provide immediate help to the people affected by the heavy rains.
