Bhopal: On Monday, 354 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in Madhya Pradesh and with this, the total number of people found infected with this virus so far has reached 15,284. The state has confirmed nine more deaths from the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 617.
“During the last 24 hours, three deaths have been confirmed in Bhopal, two in Indore and one each in Tikamgarh, Hoshangabad, Guna and Agar Malwa due to coronavirus infection in the state,” a state official said. He said, “Indore has the highest number of deaths of 246 due to the corona virus so far in the state.
71 people have died in Ujjain, 112 in Bhopal, 23 in Burhanpur, 17 in Khandwa, 15 in Khargone, 22 in Sagar, 14 in Jabalpur, 10 in Dewas, nine in Mandsaur, eight in Dhar and seven in Neemuch. The remaining death cases are from other districts. ” He said that out of a total of 15,284 infected people in the state, 11,579 patients have gone home healthy and only 3,088 patients are being treated in various hospitals.
The official said that on Monday, a maximum of 65 new cases of Covid-19 have come in Bhopal district, while 55 cases were reported in Gwalior, 43 in Indore, 28 in Morena and 21 in Shivpuri. He said 168 patients were discharged from the hospital on Monday after recovering. The official said that at present there are a total of 1,158 prohibited areas in the state.
