Srinagar: In an Encounter between a militant and security forces in Badgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, one policeman was killed and another was injured. Officials gave information about this on Friday. Officials said that after receiving secret information about the hideout of the terrorists, the security forces laid siege to Janigam village of Beerwah area of the district.
According to the news, the encounter between security forces and terrorists in Shopian of Jammu and Kashmir has now ended. During this, three dangerous terrorists have been killed. It is being told that a large quantity of weapons has been recovered from these terrorists. At the same time, during the encounter, there is also news of the martyrdom of an SPO of Jammu and Kashmir Police.
It is worth mentioning that earlier the search operation was carried out in Pulwama (New Colony) after inputting of the presence of terrorists in the residential area. The security forces then cordoned off the entire area and started a search. It is also reported that the police have arrested a newly recruited terrorist in the terrorist network from here.
According to the news, during this search operation, the militants opened fire on the security forces, after which the encounter started. Officials said two policemen were injured in the encounter. He was rushed to a hospital for treatment where one succumbed. Another encounter is also going on in the Shopian district of south Kashmir.
