2847 investigations conducted in Parliament during the third wave of Corona, 875 reports positive

New Delhi: 875 personnel in Parliament have been found infected with Covid-19 in the investigation. This information was given by the sources on Sunday, a few days before the start of the budget session. Sources said that this figure is from the investigation done till January 20 after the start of the third wave of the epidemic. The session is scheduled to begin on January 31 and the first part will conclude on February 11.

Sources said that since the start of the third wave in Parliament, 2,847 tests have been conducted so far and out of these, the test reports of 875 people have come out positive. He said that out of the total tests, 915 tests were done by the Rajya Sabha Secretariat and 271 samples tested positive.

According to sources, the session will be conducted following the protocol related to Covid. He said that in view of the increase in the cases of Covid, whether the proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will be held together or in separate shifts, is yet to be decided. Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu have also been infected with Covid-19. He has been infected with Covid-19 for the second time.

The Vice President’s Secretariat tweeted, “Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 today, he is presently in Hyderabad. He has decided to stay in isolation for a week. He has advised all those who came in contact with him to get tested and self-isolate. It is unlikely that he will participate in the Republic Day celebrations on Wednesday.
