Islamabad: Sajid Mir, one of India’s most wanted terrorists and the main handler of the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai, has been sentenced to 15 years in Pakistan. According to the news agency PTI, this sentence has been given to Sajid in the case of terror financing. With this, a big lie about Pakistan has also come in front of everyone. Pakistan has been claiming that the mastermind behind the Mumbai attack, Sajid Mir is not in its country and that he may have died, but now Pakistan’s lies have been exposed by the Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore.

On 26 November 2008, 166 people were killed in the Mumbai attack. A senior lawyer has given information about the punishment of Sajid Mir, who was said to be the project manager of this attack. These lawyers are associated with terrorism financing cases against the leaders of terrorist organizations Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jamaat-ud-Dawa. He told PTI that earlier this month the Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore sentenced Lashkar-linked Sajid Majeed Mir to 15 years in prison. A fine of more than Rs 4 lakh has also been imposed on him. The lawyer further told that Sajid Mir, about 45 years old, was arrested in April, and since then he is in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail.

Punjab Police kept silent on Sajid’s sentence
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Pakistan’s Punjab Police often gives information about such cases to the media, but it has kept silent about the punishment of Sajid Mir. The media did not even know about this sentence and the court proceedings because it was done in a closed room inside the jail, where the media was not allowed to go.

Sajid Mir is one of the most wanted terrorists in India
Sajid Mir is on the list of most-wanted terrorists in India. He is called the project manager of the Mumbai attacks. He had also visited India in 2005 on a fake passport and fake name before the attack. Sajid Mir along with David Coleman Headley and other terrorists had planned the terrorist attack in Mumbai. He is considered close to Lashkar leader Hafiz Mohammad Saeed. Not only India, but America is also searching for Sajid Mir for the last decade. The FBI also announced a $5 million bounty on him.

Pak’s trick to evade sanctions!
According to PTI, Pakistan is believed to have shown the arrest and punishment of Sajid Mir to evade sanctions against them. Actually, Pakistan is on the gray list of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). Under this, many restrictions have been imposed on him for giving shelter to terrorist organizations. Pakistan is on the gray list since June 2018. This time in the meeting held in Germany, the FATF had said that it would conduct ground verification of Pakistan and give a decision on taking it out of the gray list. Debt-ridden Pakistan wants to get out of this list, that is why it wants to show that it is controlling terrorists here.

Hafiz Saeed and Lakhvi have also been punished
Under this exercise, Pakistan has claimed to have clamped down on Hafiz Saeed, the leader of the UN-banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba and the mastermind of the Mumbai attack. The US had announced a reward of 10 million dollars on Saeed. Pakistan had shown his arrest in July 2019 for spreading terrorism. After that, the Anti-Terrorism Court of Lahore sentenced Saeed to 68 years in prison for financing terror financing. But such allegations have been made that this is just a sham. These sentences of Saeed are going on simultaneously. This means he will not have to stay in jail for many years. Operation Commander of Mumbai Attack Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi has also been sentenced. Saeed and Lakhvi are also in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail.
