163 people killed in rain-related incidents in Pakistan

Islamabad: At least 163 people were killed and 101 injured in rain-related incidents during the monsoon season in Pakistan. The National Disaster Management Authority gave this information on Monday. The authority said that 29 people died in the last 24 hours.

According to the authority’s data, 61 people died in Sindh from June 15, 48 died in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 17 in Balochistan, 16 in Punjab, 11 in Gilgit Baltistan and 10 died in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Meanwhile, several people in Karachi demonstrated against waterlogging and power cuts.
