Bhopal: On the basis of fake documents, a big case of building a colony on land worth 1500 crore rupees and selling its plot to 1700 people has come up in the capital Bhopal. This is probably the biggest case of land scam in Madhya Pradesh so far. On the basis of fake power of attorney, the retired colonel accused of grabbing land worth 1500 crores has been sent to jail in this case.
This matter is of the society in Tilak House. The Bhopal police arrested five members, including Tilak Society President Retired Colonel Bhupendra Singh, Vice President Shafiq Muhammad after a lengthy investigation by the three-year-old EOW. Also, a case is going on against other office bearers of the society. The accused prepared a fake power of attorney worth Rs 1500 crore on the airport road and first occupied the land. After this, Indra Vihar Colony was built on that land and sold plots to more than 1700 people. In this way, Bhupendra Singh and his colleagues scam crores of land.
Wrong information was given to the court
Bhupinder Singh, an accused in the land scam, sought 45 days bail from the court citing illnesses. After 45 days, the accused was to appear in court, but they did not appear in court. It is alleged that Bhupendra Singh, while misleading the court, asked for bail again, saying that the challan was not presented in 90 days and the surprising thing was that he got bail. The accused also did not present the guarantor for bail.
After this, the complainant complained to the accused in the High Court. Based on the copy of the High Court, the District Court issued an arrest warrant against Bhupendra Singh. On finding the arrest warrant, accused Bhupendra Singh surrendered in the court. Taking this matter seriously, the court sent the accused to Bhopal jail judicial custody.
