The RBI and the government have implemented this coin as a symbol and reminder. Also, its real value is much more than its face value. Therefore, this 75 rupee coin cannot be considered as legal tender. It cannot be used even in general circulation. Obviously, you cannot use this currency to buy goods or in transactions. At present Security of Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited (SPMCIL) accepts only 5 denomination coins in circulation. Only coins of Rs 1, Rs 2, Rs 5, Rs 10, and Rs 20 are included in this. The government issued the coin as a commemorative symbol for the first time in 1964 and since then 150 coins have been issued to date.
