New Delhi: TVS, the leading two-wheeler manufacturer in India, has launched its new bike Apache RTR 160 4V at the Motosoul 2023, a two-day biking festival held in Goa on December 12 and 13. The bike is loaded with advanced features and technology, making it one of the most competitive bikes in the 160cc segment.
The Apache RTR 160 4V is priced at Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available for pre-booking from the company’s authorized dealerships or online from the TVS official website. The deliveries are expected to begin from January 2024.
The bike comes in two attractive paint schemes – Lightning Blue and Matte Black edition. It has a sporty and aggressive design, with a sharp headlamp, a sculpted fuel tank, a split seat, and a dual-tone exhaust.
Features and Specifications
The Apache RTR 160 4V boasts of several features and specifications that make it stand out in the segment. Some of them are:
- Dual-channel ABS: The bike has a dual-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS), which prevents the wheels from locking up during sudden braking and enhances the safety and stability of the rider.
- 240mm rear brake disc: The bike has a larger rear brake disc of 240mm, which improves the braking performance and reduces the stopping distance.
- Multiple riding modes: The bike has three riding modes – Sport, Urban, and Rain – which can be selected by the rider according to the road and weather conditions. The modes alter the engine performance, throttle response, and ABS intervention to suit the rider’s preference.
- SmartConnect: The bike has a SmartConnect feature, which allows the rider to connect the bike to a smartphone via Bluetooth and access various information and functions, such as navigation, call and music control, lean angle, race telemetry, and more.
- 160cc engine: The bike is powered by a 160cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine, which produces a maximum power of 6.2bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 14.8Nm at 6,500rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox and has a fuel injection system for better efficiency and performance.
- Suspension and tyres: The bike has a telescopic front fork and a mono-shock at the rear for a smooth and comfortable ride. It also has 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres for better grip and handling.
