New Delhi: The coming months are going to be very busy for Maruti Suzuki. The company will do back two back 2 big launches in the Indian market. This month the company is going to launch Maruti Suzuki Fronx crossover. After this, the company is going to launch the Jimny SUV next month in May or June.
The Franks is a compact SUV coupe, which will be positioned slightly below the Brezza in the brand’s portfolio.
It will be sold through Nexa Premium dealerships and buyers can choose between Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha variants in the costlier range. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx will get two powertrains and three transmission options as the 1.0L three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine makes a comeback in India developing around 100 PS and 148 Nm.
Transmission and Variants
It will be mated to a five-speed manual transmission or a six-speed torque converter automatic unit. The regular 1.2L NA petrol engine will be available with either a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT transmission. This particular mill will be sold in Sigma, Delta, and Delta+ grades while the Turbo can be bought in Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha variants.
The NA petrol is capable of producing 90 PS of max power and 113 Nm of peak torque. A manual transmission will be standard across all three trims while AMT will be offered in Delta and Delta+ trims. The Turbo MT will be standard on the Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha variants while the AT will be available only on the top-end Zeta and Alpha trims. The price of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx is expected to be between Rs. 6.99 lacks for the base variant and it can go up to Rs.9.50 Talking about the features, it will include a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, 6 airbags, HUD, a 360-degree camera system, automatic climate control, and more.
