Glittering price of digging, three diamonds worth lakhs found to farmer

Panna(MP): Panna’s earth has already been known for diamond mines. In the desire to get a diamond, people from far and wide are drawn towards Panna’s land. The fate of farmer Subal Sarkar of Jarupur village in Panna district shone when he found three diamonds in the excavation on Thursday. The weight of these diamonds is 4.45, 2.16, 0.93 carat respectively. Their total weight is 7.59 carats and they are said to be of gem quality. The estimated price of the three diamonds is being stated as Rs 30 lakh.

According to the information received, Subal Government has deposited all the three diamonds in the diamond office. During the lockdown, the troubled farmer, Subal Sarkar, along with six colleagues at his farm in May, took a lease of a diamond mine, which is a shallow diamond mine. Subal Sarkar said that after digging about 15 to 20 feet, the diamond trick was found, which was removed and washed and sanded. Local officer RK Pandey said that all the diamonds have been safely stored. These diamonds will be placed in the upcoming auction and the royalty and income tax deducted from the price of 12.50 percent will be handed over to the diamond owner.

Recently, nine laborers of Panna district received a diamond of 10 carat 69 cents of brighter jam quality from a shallow diamond mine. It is said that these men were in trouble in the lockdown. They resorted to shallow diamond mines to unlock luck as soon as unlocked. Anandi Kushwaha took a lease for diamond mining from the diamond office on a private land in village Ranipur in Panna district. Nine people including Anandi dug out as partners. Previously he got a 70-cent rage (small diamond). After this, he gave the work of digging in which he got a diamond of 10 carat 69 cents of brighter jam quality. Its estimated price is said to be more than fifty lakh rupees.
