New Delhi: Bajaj Auto, one of the leading two-wheeler manufacturers in India, is gearing up to launch the updated version of its popular naked streetfighter, the Bajaj Pulsar N160, in 2024. The Pulsar N160 is part of the Pulsar range of motorcycles, which has been a huge success for Bajaj in terms of sales and performance. The Pulsar N160, which was launched in 2020, is powered by a 160 cc engine that delivers a punchy and peppy ride.

A video has recently emerged online, showing some of the key changes that the Bajaj Pulsar N160 will undergo in its 2024 iteration. The video reveals that the new Pulsar N160 will sport a fully digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity options, a new E20 fuel-compliant engine, and a revised exhaust system. These changes are expected to make the Pulsar N160 more attractive and competitive in the 160 cc segment, which has seen the entry of several new rivals in recent times.

Here are the key details of the 2024 Bajaj Pulsar N160.

Design to remain similar
The 2024 Bajaj Pulsar N160 will not see any major changes in its design and styling, as it will retain the same aggressive and sporty look as the current model. The Pulsar N160 will continue to feature the LED projector headlamp with sleek and sharp LED DRLs, the muscular fuel tank with shrouds, the split seat, the upswept tail section, and the underbelly exhaust. The Pulsar N160 will also retain the same color options and graphics as the current model.

Digital instrument cluster
One of the most noticeable changes in the 2024 Bajaj Pulsar N160 will be the addition of a fully digital instrument cluster, which will replace the semi-digital unit that is present in the current model. The new instrument cluster will have a large and clear display that will show various information such as speed, rpm, fuel level, odometer, trip meter, clock, gear position indicator, and service reminder. The instrument cluster will also have smartphone connectivity options, which will enable the rider to access features such as calls and SMS alerts, navigation, music control, and ride statistics through the Bajaj Connect app.

E20 fuel-compliant engine
Another major change in the 2024 Bajaj Pulsar N160 will be the introduction of a new E20 fuel-compliant engine, which will be able to run on both petrol and ethanol blends up to 20%. The E20 fuel compatibility will make the Pulsar N160 more eco-friendly and cost-effective, as ethanol is cheaper and cleaner than petrol. The new engine will be a 164.82 cc, single-cylinder, air, and oil-cooled unit, which will be similar to the current engine in terms of power and torque output. The new engine will produce 15.68 bhp of maximum power at 8,750 rpm and 14.65 Nm of peak torque at 6,750 rpm. The engine will be paired with a five-speed gearbox, which will offer smooth and precise shifts.

Same brakes and suspension
The 2024 Bajaj Pulsar N160 will not see any changes in its brakes and suspension system, as it will come with the same hardware as the current model. The Pulsar N160 will have telescopic front forks and a mono-shock absorber at the rear for suspension duty, which will offer a comfortable and stable ride in different road conditions. The Pulsar N160 will also have single-disc brakes at both the front and the rear, along with dual-channel ABS, which will provide effective and safe braking performance. The Pulsar N160 will run on 17-inch alloy wheels, which will be shod with meaty tires for better grip and handling.
