General Kenneth McKenzie, chief of the Central Command, said that in these 15 days, about 1.25 lakh people have been evacuated from Taliban Controlled Afghanistan by this plane. Our army has also disabled the Hi-Tech Rocket Defense System at Kabul Airport. Also, 73 aircraft have already been demilitarized at Hamid Karzai International Airport, these aircraft are now useless, they cannot be used anymore.
McKenzie said that the Pentagon had prepared a force of 6,000 soldiers for the operation of Kabul Airport and on August 14, through this, the safe return of American citizens began. He revealed that the US Army has left 70 MRAP armored tactical vehicles in Afghanistan. Each of these vehicles is worth $1 million. With this, 27 Humvees are also left there. But the US Army has made them such that they will never be of any use.
To protect the Kabul airport, the US had installed a rocket defense system (C RAM system counter rocket), so that soldiers and aircraft could be protected from rocket attacks. On Monday, 5 rockets fired at Kabul airport were defused with the same system. McKenzie said it was kept operational until the last US plane left Afghanistan. It took us too long to deactivate this rocket defense system. It is never possible to use them again after breaking and deactivating them.
