London: Unseasonal torrential rains in London for the second time in the last two weeks have flooded homes, roads, and several subway stations. The Met Office said central London received six centimeters (16 inches) of rain on Sunday afternoon. The weather remained dry on Monday, but the Environment Agency said four flood warnings had been issued for southeast England.
Two London hospitals have asked patients not to come to the emergency department because of the disruption caused by the floods. The London Transport Department said eight stations had to be closed due to the flooding.

Eddie Elliott, a South London resident, said, “I was born and raised in London, but I’ve never seen anything like it here before. Road traffic has been severely disrupted and buses have been damaged due to rain. Earlier this month, floods killed more than 200 people in Germany and Belgium.
