Meanwhile, the army of Ukraine has retaliated by entering the Russian border. On Friday, two Ukrainian Military Helicopters entered Belgorod, Russia. Ukrainian helicopters conducted an airstrike on a fuel depot in Belgorod. After which there was a fire and many explosions took place.
Now the video of this explosion is going viral on social media. Belgorod governor Vyacheslav Gladkov has told us about this explosion. The governor of Belgorod said on the messaging app Telegram that the helicopters crossed the border at a low altitude. After this, the fuel depot was attacked. Due to this, the depot caught fire. Gladkov further told that 2 workers got burnt in this fire. He has been admitted to a nearby hospital. While some areas near the city are being evacuated.
On the other hand, Russian oil firm Rosneft and the owner of this fuel depot have given a different statements regarding this incident. He said that no one was injured in the fire. However, he declined to comment on the cause of the fire.
Let us tell you that during the Second World War, the Russian army built bunkers and trenches in Belgorod. Here in the year 1943, the Khursk battle was fought. All the weapons and military bikes and vehicles of that time are present here. Now this place has been converted into a big war memorial and open museum.
Belgorod is about 700 kilometers from Moscow. It takes about 10 hours by highway to reach here. There is the deployment of police and army at various places along the way.
