New Delhi: Twitter, the social media platform used by millions of people across the world, went down for about an hour on Wednesday. However, the Twitter service has now been restored. Microblogging site Twitter’s services were down in many countries, including India. Users have had trouble with Twitter’s website, Android app, and iOS app.
During this time many users have visited websites like DownDetector and complained that they are not able to access the platform. According to the DownDirector, problems started appearing on Twitter around 8 pm Indian time and at present there are more than three thousand reports.
According to the DownDirector, Twitter is currently down in India, Malaysia, Indonesia and some other parts of the world. According to about 52 percent of reports, the Twitter website is not working and about 32 percent have complained that the Android app and 14 percent of reports have reported that the iOS app is not working.
Twitter has not yet made a statement
The reason behind the down wearing of social media platform Twitter is not yet known. The company has not issued a statement in this regard.
Trouble also came on October 16
This is not the first time Twitter has gone down and users have been upset. Earlier, a similar problem had occurred on October 16. The social site was down at around 7 a.m. Indian time. Twitter users were having trouble logging in to the site. No one was able to tweet. Some users were able to login to their account, but when they searched, no content was showing. The California-based company tweeted that their site had not been hacked.
