International Child Rights Day was established in 1954. This International Children’s Day was conceptualized by V.K. Krishna Menon. This day is celebrated to promote international solidarity, awareness of children, and welfare of children. November 20 is known to be a very important day as the General Assembly of the United Nations declared the rights of the child in 1959.
