But 11 passengers were injured during the emergency evacuation. Let us tell you that Cathay Pacific aircraft CX880 had 17 crew members and 293 passengers on board. The plane was going from Hong Kong to Los Angeles, USA.
At the same time, the Cathay Airlines company issued a statement on social media saying that when the plane was about to take off, the crew detected some technical problem, after which the decision was taken to cancel the flight. Public broadcaster RTHK quoted police as saying one of the plane’s tires burst due to overheating.
When the technical fault was detected by the crew members, the focus of the pilot was to somehow land the aircraft safely along with the passengers. The passengers were therefore ejected from the aircraft using five-door escape slides. However, during this time, 11 passengers were injured and were rushed to the hospital.
