Moscow: Although India has high hopes for the UK and US corona vaccine, the Russian-made Sputnik V vaccine has also proved to be 95% effective in fighting corona during trials. Not only is this effective but it is also cheaper than any other vaccine. The people of Russia will get it for free and for the rest of the world it will cost less than 700 rupees and around 10 US dollars.

According to a report by RT, the second initial analysis of the clinical trial revealed that the vaccine showed 91.4% effectiveness 28 days after the first dose. It increased to 95% 42 days after the first dose and is proving to be more effective than many other vaccines.

The Gamelia National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, which developed the vaccine, claims that two doses of the vaccine were given to 18,794 other patients in addition to the 39 infected. This result has come to light in this trial and the allegations of not conducting the third trial on the vaccine after this trial have also been proved wrong.

Russian Corona vaccine

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Tuesday that it is free for all people in the country. However, for other countries of the world, it will cost around Rs. 700. Kirill Dimitriev, head of the Russian Director Investment Fund (RDIF) overseeing the production and promotion of the vaccine abroad, said that the potential cost of Sputnik V is much lower than that of other vaccines.
According to the information provided by RDIF, two doses of this vaccine will have to be taken. The cost is two to three times lower than other vaccines made using mRNA technology. RDIF has entered into agreements with partners in other countries to develop vaccines for more than 500 million people in 2021.

RDIF and its partners are also developing a dry dose of the vaccine. The vaccine will be safe even at a temperature of 2 to 8 से C. Due to this, its distribution in the international market will be much easier. At the same time, it will be easier to deliver to remote places. These include countries with warmer temperatures, of which India is one. According to the report, the first delivery of this vaccine will take place in January next year. Whereas, other countries which have requested for it, they will start getting the first batch from the beginning of March 2021.

40,000 volunteers are taking part in the trial of the third phase of the vaccine. The first dose was given to 22 thousand volunteers. More than 19 thousand people were given both first and second doses. So far nothing dangerous has come to light in them. Monitoring of volunteers is still ongoing. Volunteers initially complained of vomiting and headaches during the trial of this vaccine.

Oxford AstraZeneca, on the other hand, claims that its vaccine Covishield can be up to 90% effective. The vaccine has been 70% effective in large-scale human trials. U.S. pharmaceutical companies Pfizer and Modern also claimed that more than 90 percent of their vaccines were effective. According to Pfizer, a dose of his vaccine will cost $19.50 (Rs. 1450). In addition, the modern vaccine will cost from $ 25 to $37 (Rs. 1850-2700). Two doses of these will cost $39 (Rs. 2900) and $50 to$ 74 (Rs. 3700-5400) while one dose of Covishield will cost Rs.500
