Rohtak: Gurmeet Ram Rahim, head of Dera Sacha Sauda in Haryana, who is serving a life sentence in a rape and murder case, was given a one-day parole in the past. In Haryana, the BJP-JJP coalition government led by CM Manohar Lal Khattar had granted parole to Ram Rahim for one day on October 24.
Ramrahim is closed in Rohtak Jail
Dera chief is lodged in Rohtak jail after being convicted in a rape and murder case. Sources said that Ram Rahim had received a day’s parole to visit his ailing mother and she is admitted to a hospital in Gurugam. The Dera chief was taken from Sunaria Jail to Gurugram Hospital amid heavy security.
Three police units were deployed under the protection of Ram Rahim
Sources say that Ram Rahim stayed with his ailing mother till the evening of October 24. Sources said that three detachments of Haryana Police remained deployed. There were 80 to 100 young men in a detachment. The Dera Chief was brought from the jail in a police vehicle.
It is being reported that the Rohtak police had received a request for security arrangements and security was provided from morning till evening on October 24.
Questions arose on the way to parole
It is being told that only the CM and some senior government officials of Haryana were aware of this. Even before this, there were rumors of giving parole to Ramrahim. However, the government refused to grant parole. But now questions are being raised on how to pay parole.
