Srinagar: In a brazen attack, suspected terrorists ambushed an Indian Army vehicle in the Billawar region of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district. The incident occurred on Monday, resulting in injuries to four army personnel. Two soldiers are in critical condition.

  • Location: The attack unfolded in the remote Machedi area, near the Machedi-Kindli-Malhar road.
  • Terrorist Tactics: The assailants fired upon the army vehicle from a vantage point atop a hill. They also hurled grenades at the convoy.

  • Jammu Range DIG Sunil Gupta immediately rushed to the encounter spot from Jammu upon receiving information about the incident.
