New Delhi: A couple from Tamil Nadu has found a unique way to make their wedding very special. This couple is going to get married in such a way that hardly anyone in India has done it before. Actually, this couple from Tamil Nadu will host the wedding reception in Metaverse. Dinesh SP and Janaganandini will choose a digital avatar for their Metaverse reception. Dinesh has shared a short video on Twitter. In this, how their wedding reception will look like has been mentioned. He told that this will be India’s first metaverse marriage.
According to a report, the Tamil Nadu couple is all set to host their wedding reception in Metaverse. Dinesh SP and Janaganandini Ramaswamy will get married in February in Tamil Nadu’s Shivalingapuram village. His reception will be conducted digitally. After the wedding ceremony, the couple will be online on their laptops to enter the virtual venue for their Hogwarts-themed reception and will be joined by their friends and family members from around the world report the Times of India.
The Metaverse is a virtual reality world where users can live ‘live’ and interact with others through digital avatars. This augmented reality combines many elements of technology such as blockchain and virtual reality.
Dinesh, Project Associate, IIT Madras told Times of India that, I came up with the idea of Metaverse Wedding Reception, and my fiancé also liked the idea. “I am involved in crypto and blockchain technology and have been working on it for over a year now. Since blockchain is the basic technology of the metaverse when my wedding was fixed I thought of having a reception in the metaverse.
As per reports, their wedding reception will be inspired by the Harry Potter universe. The bride and groom will have avatars dressed in traditional clothes, while guests will be given login details where they can choose an avatar and enter the reception. They will be able to interact with other guests during the one-hour reception.
