New Delhi: The University Grants Commission on Tuesday launched an integrated online platform “Shodh Chakra” to promote research work. UGC President Prof. M Jagadesh Kumar said that sufficient material is available on this platform for the convenience of the researchers.
He said that workshops would also be organized through this in the coming days. The “School Chakra” has been developed by the Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET) which is an Inter-University Center of the UGC. An official said, “Till now there was no dedicated platform where complete details related to different areas of research are available. In such a situation, not only the research scholars will be able to take advantage of the research cycle platform, but it will also benefit the supervisors, guides, and universities. ,
He said that this platform has been started in accordance with the guidelines given by the UGC on March 14, 2022, in which research and development cells were asked to be established in all higher educational institutions. The official said that from reviewing literature and research material to presenting research papers (thesis), all kinds of facilities are available for the research scholars on the UGC ‘Shodh Chakra’ platform. He said that on this platform, there is material in the form of video and written material in the form of a knowledge resource. At present, material related to more than 3.5 lakh research papers is available on this.
