Amman: Shah Abdullah II of Jordan elected his Chief Policy Advisor on Wednesday as the country’s new Prime Minister and empowered him to form the new government. The previous government was criticized for dealing with the coronavirus epidemic. In a statement given by the Royal Court, Shah said that he has appointed Bishar al-Khasaneh as the new Prime Minister of the country and directed him to form a government in line with the aspirations of the people of Jordan. Parliamentary elections are to be held on November 10 in the country. Abdullah accepted the resignation of Prime Minister Omar Al Rajaz on Saturday. Shah dissolved Parliament a week before the completion of his four-year term.
