At the same time, seeing that the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission did not take a decision, the Railways approached the Supreme Court in the matter presented. At the same time, the court has overturned the orders of the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission given in favor of the passenger. In this regard, the Supreme Court argued that the court finds it difficult to understand how theft can be considered as deficiency in service on the part of the Railways. Especially when the traveler himself is not able to keep his belongings safe.
