Bengaluru: In Karnataka, COVID cases breached single day records to date by adding 8,818 new cases today. With this, the total number of COVID cases has reached 2,19,926 cases and out of this 82,958 are active cases.
The COVID related deaths were 114 today. The mortality rate remains at 1.74 per cent. The recovery rate has further improved in the state at 60.53 per cent as with recovery of 6,629 persons today.
There was improvement in the number of COVID tests also with 54,806 tests conducted today. Bengaluru contributed the highest number of 3,495 new cases as compared to other districts in the state. With a recovery rate of 58.65 per cent, 2,034 people were discharged in Bengaluru.
