Trudeau further said, ‘This has built on the safety of our economy as well as the public. We cannot allow illegal and risky activities to proceed.
Before the imposition of the Emergency Act, PM Trudeau urged all the protesting people to go home. He had said ‘This illegal activity must end and it will end soon. We hope that the protesters will decide to go home at the earliest, otherwise, the police will interfere in it.
It is to be known that at this time there are strong demonstrations in Canada against the restrictions related to Covid-19. Demonstrations continue in several Canadian cities. Not only this, many areas of the capital Ottawa have been jammed due to this demonstration. More than 50 thousand truck drivers are protesting in Ottawa and these people are demanding PM’s resignation.
Protesters also gathered in large numbers at the ‘Ambassador Bridge’ on the US-Canada border. Because of this, the moment was closed. But after a week, the bridge reopened on Sunday.
