New Delhi: The next phase of corona vaccination is going to start from May 1 across the country. The central government has also decided to include 18-year-old people in the vaccination drive. From May 1, people over 18 years of age will be vaccinated. The process for registration started on Wednesday (28 April) on the Cowin App / Portal to get the vaccine installed. For Corona vaccination, a total of 79 lakh 65 thousand 720 people registered for the vaccine on Wednesday.
The process for registrations started on Wednesday evening, but due to high traffic, the app’s server has crashed as soon as registration starts. Many users complained on Twitter that they are either not able to log in to the portal or are facing difficulties in registration. Some users said that they were seeing error messages while trying to register. Some others complained that they were not receiving OTP to log in on their phones.
However, after initial trouble, the Covin portal started functioning after some time. Arogya Setu tweeted, “Covin portal is working. There was a minor flaw at 4 pm which was rectified. More than 18 years of leg registration can be done.
Here’s how to register on Co-WIN
- Go to www.cowin.gov.in.
- Enter your mobile number.
- You will have an OTP to create an account.
- Enter OTP and click on the Verify button.
- You will go directly to the vaccination registration page. There will be an option to choose a photo ID proof on this page.
- Fill in your name, age, gender and upload an identity document.
- After entering the information for registration, click on the ‘Register’ button.
- Once the registration is complete, the system will show ‘Account details’.
- A citizen can add three more people associated with this mobile number by clicking on the “Add More” button next.
- Now click on the ‘Schedule Appointment’ button.
- Search the vaccination center as per your convenience by state, district, block and pin code.
- Then click on the Book button. You will get a message upon booking. That information has to be shown at the vaccination center.
