Outbreak of Covid-19 in Maharashtra has led to more than 8,000 cases, 80 deaths

Mumbai: Corona continues to wreak havoc in Maharashtra. Corona cases are increasing rapidly in the state. On Wednesday, 8,807 new cases of corona have been reported. The total number of infected people increased to 21,21,119. The Health Department said that information of 80 more patients died in the day, due to which the death toll in the state increased to 51,937. There has been an increase in cases of Kovid-19 in the state as 6,218 new cases of Covid-19 (COVID-19) were reported in the state.

Officials said 27 of the 80 deaths occurred in the last 48 hours while 22 deaths occurred last week. The remaining 31 deaths occurred during the period before that. On Wednesday, 2,772 patients were discharged from hospitals after being cured, leading to an increase of 20,08,623 patients in the state so far. The number of active cases of corona in the state of Philahal is 59,358.

If we talk about Mumbai (Mumbai) only, 1167 new Corona cases have been reported here today. While four people died. More than one thousand corona cases have come to light in Mumbai after 119 days. 643 new cases were reported in Mumbai on 23 February, 760 on 22 February, 921 on 21 February, and 897 on 20 February.

At the same time, 10 cases of corona have come out in Dharavi on Wednesday after a long time. This brings the total number of corona cases in Dharavi to 4041. 33 of which are still active. Earlier on January 17, ten cases were reported in Dharavi.

Meanwhile, in view of the increasing outbreak of Corona, the state government on Wednesday asked the district collectors and commissioners of local bodies to expedite the investigation. After the cabinet meeting, the Minister of Minority Affairs Nawab Malik said that the Covid-19 situation in the state was reviewed in the meeting. “Directed to increase the number of investigations,” he told reporters. An average of 60,000 samples is being tested daily in the state for the last two weeks.

Malik said that officials have been asked to find out those who come in contact with people infected with hyperactivity. Sources said other ways to prevent the spread of infection in the cabinet were also discussed. Since February 10, more than 6,000 new cases are coming to Maharashtra.
