New Delhi: India has started taking precautionary steps regarding the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan. The Indian Embassy in Afghanistan has issued an advisory for Indian citizens. In this advisory, Indians living, visiting, and working in Afghanistan have been asked to exercise utmost caution at all times. It further states that, avoid all non-essential travel.
Let us tell you that the situation in Afghanistan remains dangerous. Referring to the murder of Indian photojournalist Danish Siddiqui, the advisory has also appealed to the press to exercise caution. It said that Indian journalists coming to Afghanistan to do ground reporting should contact the security wing and public affairs of the embassy.
Taliban control seems to become once again in Afghanistan. According to media reports, there is fierce violence going on in different parts of Afghanistan at this time. However, in the meantime, speculations are also being made about the ongoing peace talks between the government of Afghanistan and the Taliban. On the other hand, the administration of US President Joe Biden believes that lasting peace in Afghanistan is possible only through a political solution.
