New Delhi: Coronavirus Omicron Variant, a new variant of the coronavirus, can cause havoc in Europe. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen warned on Wednesday that by mid-January the Omicron Case in Europe would have spread. He said that seeing that the Omicron variant of Corona is spreading rapidly, it seems that by mid-January 2022 it will have spread in the UK, Norway, and Denmark. The devastation has already been seen in Europe from the Delta variant of Corona. In such a situation, due to the increase in the cases of Omicron variants, once again the concern of health experts and officials has increased.

Von der Leyen said that the number of cases of corona infection caused by Omicron could double in two or three days. The new variant of Corona will become increasingly effective in some parts of Europe before the new year. The president of the European Commission has warned of an increase in Omicron’s cases at a time when experts in Norway and Denmark have said that Omicron will prove to be more dangerous than Delta. According to estimates, the number of patients admitted to hospitals due to infection can be up to two thousand daily. The report said that if additional control measures are not implemented, the number of patients infected with Omicron will increase rapidly. Not only infected with this variant, but the graph of the dead will also go up. Experts also predict that by the end of December, Omicron will become the dominant form of corona in the UK.

The UK government has increased the country’s coronavirus alert level from three to four. There has been a huge increase in the Omicron variant of COVID-19 here. There have been 1,239 new cases here. With this, there were a total of 3,137 cases in the UK. On the advice of the UK Health Protection Agency (UKHSA), the Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) of all parts of the United Kingdom – England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland – have raised the alert level.

The CMO said preliminary evidence suggests the new variant, which was first detected in South Africa, is spreading more rapidly than Delta.
