Dubai: The Archaeologists of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have discovered the oldest building in the country. Archaeologists told that this building is 8500 years old. This building is more than 500 years old than the building found before it. The Department of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi has given information about this wonderful discovery. This oldest building has been found on Ghagha Island, located west of the city of Abu Dhabi.
The structure found from this island is like ‘simple round rooms’ with a stone wall around it. The wall is 3.3 feet high and is still largely safe. The team of researchers said that the structure was probably home to a small community that lived on the island at the time. He said that this discovery shows that Neolithic settlements existed here even before the long-distance sea trade route started.
Dead body found buried near the building
Thousands of antiquities have also been found from this place. These also include arrowheads made of stone which were used for hunting. The team said that there is a possibility that the people living here used the natural resources found in the sea. However, archaeologists are still not sure when this house was used. A dead body has been found buried near this building which is about 5 thousand years old.

It is one of the few famous tombs on the island of Abu Dhabi. Mohamed Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture, said, “The discovery on Ghagha Island shows that the character of innovation, sustainability, and resilience was present in the DNA of the people living here thousands of years ago.” Earlier the oldest building in the UAE. It was discovered on Marwah Island which is located off the coast of Abu Dhabi. This is where the world’s oldest pearl was found in the year 2017.
