Bhopal: There is good news for field police personnel in Madhya Pradesh. There was a constant complaint in the police headquarters that senior police officers would act unilaterally without listening to them. In view of the frequent complaints of this method, the Police Headquarters has taken a big decision and put Qatar on the police officers. Now according to the headquarters, no police officer, irrespective of rank, will not be able to directly act on subordinate employees. He has to listen to the favor of his subordinate officer-employees.
There are one lakh 30 thousand police forces in Madhya Pradesh, of which 70 percent are lower level officers and employees. Police force has the highest number of constables and head constables. There is often a complaint of field policemen working on the field that police officers take action without listening to them. In such a situation, their morale breaks and it directly affects the work. Now the police will not fall straight. Before taking action on a policeman, his side will be heard. Before taking action, it will be mandatory for the officer to seek clarification, show cause notice or reply from the employee. The constable and the head constable will have to be called in the orderly room and hear their side. DGP Vivek Johri has issued instructions to all the police units of the state.
In this way, measures of any kind will be mandatory before sentencing. He also wrote in the letter that it is the option of the employee concerned to furnish or not to provide clarification and to answer or not to show cause notice. Under the Madhya Pradesh Police Regulation and Madhya Pradesh Civil Services Classification Control Rules, the decision should be taken on the basis of records and merits only after giving an opportunity of defense before being sentenced.

DGP Vivek Johri has written a letter to all ADGs, IGs, DIGs and all police units in the state. He has said in the letter that in Madhya Pradesh Police Regulation and Madhya Pradesh Civil Services Classification Control Appeal Rules, there is a provision for subordinate government servants. The principles of natural justice require that any officer employee be given an opportunity to present his case before being punished. In this process, their clarification should be taken, served by issuing show cause notice and the staff of constable head constable level should be called in the orderly room before being sentenced.
