Novak Djokovic to play for Serbia at Tokyo Olympics

Belgrade: Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic says he will play for Serbia at the Tokyo Olympics, which could fulfill his dream of a Golden Slam. Djokovic, thirty-four, tweeted that he has got a ticket and is proud to play for Serbia at the Olympics. Djokovic won Wimbledon on Sunday, the 20th Grand Slam title of his career.

He said after that that he could not say whether Tokyo would play the Olympics or not. If he wins the singles gold at the Tokyo Olympics and also the US Open title, he will become the first male tennis player to complete the Golden Slam. This includes all four Grand Slams and Olympic gold in a single year. Steffi Graf is the only tennis player to have achieved this feat. He won all four Grand Slams and Olympic gold in 1988.
