Praveen Kumar Sobti, who played the role of Bhima in the TV serial ‘Mahabharata’, has passed away on the last day i.e. on February 7. After hearing this sad news, the fans of the actor are seen paying tribute to him. The same Praveen Kumar’s co-star and actor Nitish Bhardwaj has also become saddened by his death. Nitish told Praveen Kumar while talking on the death that he was a man of simple nature and full of gratitude.
Nitish Bhardwaj, who was seen in the role of Shri Krishna in ‘Mahabharata’, further said in his interview to etimes that ‘I used to talk to him often, he was very simple in nature. After working in Mahabharata and many films, he became a recluse and decided to lead a peaceful life.
Nitish further explains that Praveen was very happy with the role of Bhima in a religious serial like Mahabharata. He was a great man who was always smiling and never thought ill of anyone. The way he played his Bhima in the Mahabharata serial, it is no wonder that he will be known as the Gadadhari Bhima of Mahabharata.
Let us tell you that a proficient athlete, he has represented India by winning 4 Asian Games medalists, 2 Gold, 1 Silver, and 1 Bronze medal. Apart from this, he has also represented India twice in the Olympics. He was also awarded the Arjuna Award in the year 1967. In 2013, Praveen stepped into politics. He stood on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party in the assembly elections.
