Patna: Before Bihar Assembly Election, the process of change of leaders is going on. In this sequence, Subhashini Yadav, daughter of veteran politician Sharad Yadav, joined Congress Party (Congress). Apart from Subhashini, well-known Bihar leader Kali Pandey has also taken membership of Congress. Subhashini Yadav joined the Congress and said that like his father, he also has a responsibility to take the Grand Alliance forward. Subhashini said, ‘Dad’s health is not doing well, so he is not as active in Bihar elections. As a daughter, it is my moral responsibility to pursue her work. Sharad Yadav has always supported the Grand Alliance. Here, Kali Pandey said that Congress has been his home, he has returned to his house.
While joining the Congress party, Sharad Yadav’s daughter said that she wants to do politics responsibly like her, following the footsteps of her father. Subhashini said that her father has always struggled to strengthen the Grand Alliance. She too will make every effort to take this alliance forward. Subhashini thanked party president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi for joining Congress.
Kali Pandey returned to the Congress and called the party his home. He said, ‘I am feeling proud today. Was elected MLA in 1984. Rajiv Gandhi had an attachment, so he supported Rajiv. Even before, I have contested on the ticket of Congress party. This is my old house, glad to be back at home. Let me tell you that Kali Pandey has been known as Bahubali MLA. Apart from Congress, he has also been in other parties.
