Imphal: A van was set on fire by 3-4 youths of a community in Bishnupur, Manipur. After this, a tense situation has arisen in the entire state. In view of the increasing tension, the B government has stopped Internet services for 5 days in the entire state. With this, Section 144 of CrPC has been implemented in Churachandpur and Bishnupur districts for the next two months.

It is known that, on Saturday, the All Tribal Students Union, protesting against the new bill introduced by the state government, created a lot of ruckus in Imphal, Manipur. There was an unlimited economic blockade on the highways by the tribal students’ organization. During this protest, a lot of vandalism and vehicles were also set on fire.

At the same time, the police were trying to stop the student union’s protest rally. All this led to a standoff and more than 30 tribal students were injured. Meanwhile, the police arrested five tribal student leaders on the spot and sent them on a 15-day remand. Now the student organization is demanding the release of its arrested leaders.

On Tuesday, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh’s government introduced the State (Hill Area) Zilla Parishad Sixth and Seventh Amendment Bills. Protests started in protest against this. At the same time, the protesters say that these bills are not in accordance with their demands.
