Chandigarh: In a significant political development, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has tendered his resignation following a crucial meeting at his residence in Chandigarh. The resignation marks a pivotal moment for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Haryana, which is now poised to form a government independently.

The decision came after an extensive discussion at the Chief Minister’s residence, which was followed by a collective resignation of the entire cabinet at the Raj Bhavan. The Governor of Haryana received the resignations, indicating a complete cabinet reshuffle.

Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Khattar convened with the BJP legislative party at 11 am and subsequently proceeded to meet the Governor of Haryana. Notably, the Home Minister accompanied him, signaling the gravity of the situation. Additionally, other ministers also made their way to the Governor, hinting at a coordinated political maneuver.

Amidst these unfolding events, Anil Vij, a prominent figure in Haryana politics, was seen sharing a ride with Khattar, sporting a smile that has fueled speculation about his potential candidacy for the Chief Minister’s position.

As the political landscape in Haryana shifts, preparations are underway at the Raj Bhavan for the swearing-in ceremony of the new Chief Minister, scheduled for Tuesday afternoon. While the identity of the next Chief Minister remains under wraps, the anticipation builds as the state awaits its new leadership.
