In Arcadia, the government has conducted a survey through the US agency McKenzie under the plan to make New Dehradun Twin City. However, voices of opposition have also started rising regarding this.

Local people say that the entire greenery has already been destroyed by Dehradun, now we will not let this little part left to be destroyed. At the same time, people say that tea garden is the means of their livelihood and they have been living through it for a long time, so they will oppose any such plan.

People protesting said that setting up a new city here would destroy the greenery and these tea gardens are the identity of Dehradun. All kinds of questions were raised regarding the interests of the tea garden workers and the land of the garden. There were a large number of protests.
