Ujjain: Devotees will not be able to attend the Bhasma Aarti of Mahakal Baba of Ujjain, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of the country. In view of the increasing cases of Corona In Fection, the committee of Mahakal Temple has taken this decision. However, earlier it was said that devotees will be given admission in Bhasma Aarti after Mahashivaratri, but it has been postponed again due to Covid 19.

Significantly, in Ujjain in January, the number of infected with Corona remained at one, two or sometimes zero. But, now its speed has been more than 100 times for the last one week. Now more than 30 corona infected patients are being found every day. Let me tell you, in view of the decreasing pace of corona infection, it was decided in the meeting of Mahakal Temple Management Committee that devotees will start getting admission in Bhasma Aarti from the first Monday after Shivaratri, but, now this decision has been pushed forward.

Significantly, devotees from far and wide reached here to see the grandeur of the Mahakal temple. The entry of outsiders into the temple was closed on 21 March 2020 due to the coronavirus. However, its doors reopened only after 9 June 2020, but the Bhasma Aarti was not started at that time in terms of security. The ban will continue for a few months at present.
