Indore: In view of the worsening situation of corona infection in Madhya Pradesh, the state government has extended the lockdown period in Indore, Vidisha, Rajgarh, Barwani, and Shajapur districts. The lockdown started here at 6 pm on Friday evening. Now, in the urban and rural areas of these districts, there will be complete lockdown till 6 am on April 19, instead of April 12. Whereas, Balaghat, Narsinghpur, Seoni, and Jabalpur districts will remain locked for 10 consecutive days from April 12 (until April 22). The disaster management committees of these districts had recommended increasing the lockdown. On Saturday, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, after discussing with the members of the committee, decided to increase the lockdown in these districts. Its guidelines will be issued by the collectors of the respective districts. As of Saturday, 32, 707 persons were corona infected in the state. In view of this, on Saturday, the Chief Minister held virtual discussions with the members, collectors, and other officials of the disaster management committees of the most corona-affected districts.

Committee members made several suggestions to prevent infection. The Chief Minister also gave instructions to the officials to implement these suggestions. The Chief Minister said that 24 people died on Friday. Approximately five thousand new cases have come to the fore, which is worrying. It is worth mentioning that while reviewing the corona on Thursday, the Chief Minister gave instructions for complete lockdown in all the cities of the state for two days (Saturday-Sunday).

Help sought from committee members
The chief minister has sought help from the members of the disaster management committees to prevent infection while suggesting three measures (applying masks, physical distance, and better treatment and care).
