Lucknow: In order to make the country self-reliant in the field of defense, the work of the Defense Corridor in UP is progressing rapidly. In Aligarh, the first of the 6 nodes of the Defense Corridor, UPEIDA has allotted more than 55.4 hectares of land to investors. Where 19 companies related to the defense sector will invest more than 1245 crores. Its foundation stone will be laid soon by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Here the work of building a powerhouse, 4 lane road has started.

Three years after the Defense Expo in UP, the existence of the Defense Corridor is visible on the ground. The world’s top companies related to the defense sector have stepped in to invest in UP. The 6 nodes of the Defense Corridor in UP are Aligarh, Agra, Jhansi, Kanpur, Chitrakoot, and Lucknow. Aligarh is the first node in this. Where the land was to be allotted to the companies. The process of allotment of land on behalf of UPEDA has been completed.

UPEIDA has allotted 55.4 hectares of land to 19 international companies. Here companies will invest Rs 1245.75 crore here. In this, Anchor Research Lab LLP will invest the maximum amount of Rs 550 crore. The company has been allotted 10 hectares of land on behalf of UPEDA. In the Defense Corridor, the UP government had received investment proposals worth more than 50 thousand crores in the defense sector. These investments have now become a ground reality. With the increase in employment in UP through the Defense Corridor, the country will become self-reliant in the defense sector.

According to Avneesh Awasthi, Additional Chief Secretary Home and Chief Executive Officer of UPEDA, the land allotment work has been completed in the first node of the Defense Corridor in Aligarh. The construction work of the internal 4 lane road has started here at a cost of Rs 10.21 crore. Along with this, the work of construction of powerhouse, power station, and boundary wall has also started. Soon the foundation stone for this will be laid by the Prime Minister. Defense Corridor is being developed at Andla on Khair Road in Aligarh.
