Mumbai: On Monday, 5,984 more people were confirmed to be infected with Coronavirus in Maharashtra, which is the lowest in several weeks. With this, the number of Covid-19 patients who have appeared in the state so far has increased to 16,01,365. The Health officials said that 125 more lives have been lost due to infection during this period, which together, 42,240 people have died in the state so far. At the same time, 15,069 patients are also cured in Maharashtra in one day. So far 13,84,879 people have become infection free in the state while 1,73,759 are under treatment. According to the official, 81,85,775 samples of Covid-19 have been tested so far in the state.

In the capital Mumbai (Mumbai), 1233 new cases were reported on Monday while 2,092 people were discharged from various hospitals after recovering. In Mumbai, 45 people died in 24 hours. At present, the total number of cases in Mumbai has increased to 2 lakh 43 thousand 172. Whereas till now 2 lakh 12 thousand 905 people have been discharged from hospitals after recovering. Currently, the number of active cases in Mumbai is 18,624. So far 9,776 people have lost their lives due to Corona virus in Mumbai.

1,034 deaths in Aurangabad so far
On the other hand, in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra, the number of Covid-19 cases increased to 36,576 with 120 more people being found infected with the coronavirus. An official gave this information on Monday. He said that on Sunday, eight people died due to Covid-19 in the district, which increased the number of dead to 1,034.
The official said that out of 120 new cases of infection, 40 have come from Aurangabad city, 53 from rural areas, while 27 patients have been detected by mobile sample collection teams. He said that on Sunday, 234 patients were discharged after recovering.

Now 1,948 patients are being treated in the district, while so far 33,594 patients have been discharged after recovering.
