Lockdown in 7 villages of Maharashtra due to Corona, Deputy CM’s village also included


Baramati: On one hand, in India, where the second wave of Corona is slowing down. At the same time, due to the increasing cases of this infection, a lockdown has been imposed for 7 days in Katewadi, the village of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. Actually, this big decision has been taken after increasing the number of corona patients in Baramati. Even though the second wave of corona in the Pune district seems to be slowing down, the number of corona patients in Baramati taluka is increasing now. Therefore, the administration has decided to close the seven villages here with Corona hotspots for the time being. It also includes the Katewadi village of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

In fact, slightly more corona patients have been found in a village with a large population of Baramati taluka of Pune district. During the second wave of the corona, where more than 500 patients were getting in a day in Baramati, since then till now there has been a huge decline in the number of corona patients. However, after the relaxation of the lockdown, now the number of corona patients is increasing once again due to the violation of corona rules by the citizens here. Therefore, Baramati Provincial Officer Dadasaheb Kamble has announced a lockdown in 7 big villages of this taluka. As a result, these villages will now have a lockdown till July 7.


It is worth mentioning that so far the number of patients in Baramati has been 25 thousand 431, out of which 24 thousand 474 patients have been cured so far. At the same time, more than 9500 active patients are still in Baramati city and taluka. Therefore, the risk of infection here is increasing day by day. Here an antigen test was also done by the administration in Katewadi village of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. After the report of 27 people here positive, the villagers and the administration have decided to keep the village closed for 7 days for the time being.
