International travelers coming from Dubai to Mumbai will have to stay in quarantine for 7 days, BMC issued guidelines

Mumbai: BMC has taken a big decision in view of the threat of a new variant of Coronavirus Omicron Variant in India. In a statement issued by the BMC late on Friday evening, it has been said that all international passengers coming from Dubai who are residents of Mumbai will have to compulsorily stay in home quarantine for 7 days. Also, RT-PCR is mandatory for all international travelers. In an official statement issued by the BMC, it has been said that migrants living in other parts of Maharashtra will not be allowed to travel in public transport. Separate vehicles will be arranged for them by the administration.

Earlier, BMC has issued new guidelines regarding Christmas and New Year. It is noteworthy that so far this new variant has reached 14 states and union territories and more than 200 cases have been reported. In such a situation, in view of the increasing threat from the new variants, the central government has cautioned the states and union territories to activate ‘war room’ and also consider taking steps like imposing night curfew.
