Vadodara: Streets were waterlogged due to heavy rain in Vadodara District of Gujarat (Gujarat). This has happened for the second consecutive day on Wednesday when the situation in the city has become like this. Earlier on Tuesday, the roads were flooded even after heavy rains, but Wednesday’s condition was worse than the first day. Several feet of water filled the roads, in which many vehicles and people were seen drowning.

Please tell that on Tuesday itself, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued a warning of heavy rain in Gujarat (Gujarat) from August 18 to August 22. After which teams of National Disaster Management Teams (NDRF) were asked to be prepared for rescue operations in the state. Apart from this, a virtual meeting of the weather monitoring group under the chairmanship of Relief Commissioner Harshad Patel was also held in Gandhinagar. In which the issue of staying alert and making preparations was discussed.

During this time, the Relief Commissioner had asked all the departments to be fully prepared for heavy rains between 18 to 22 August.
The Meteorological Department had issued a warning saying, “A cyclonic circulation is occurring in the Bay of Bengal and its neighboring areas. Due to its effect, a new low-pressure area will be formed in the northern part of the Bay of Bengal till Wednesday. It is expected to intensify further slowly over the next 24 hours. “

Meteorological Department had predicted strong rains in Kheda, Anand and Devbhumi Dwarka
Due to the formation of low air pressure in the Bay of Bengal, the entire state is also expected to receive heavy rainfall from August 21 to August 27. The Indian Meteorological Department had predicted heavy rains in Kheda, Anand, and Devbhumi Dwarka during this period.
