New Delhi: The orgy of rain continues in Tamil Nadu. Incessant rains in many districts including Chennai have worsened the situation. Incessant rain this morning has flooded the roads. Also, trees have been uprooted in many places due to storms and rain.

It is to be known that 12 people have died due to rain in Tamil Nadu. State Revenue and Disaster Management Minister KKSSR Ramachandran have confirmed this. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in many parts of the state. Along with this, people have been asked to be alert.

At the same time, 11 teams of the National Disaster Response Force and 7 teams of the State Disaster Response Team are engaged to deal with the situation that has arisen after the rains in the state. Earlier on Wednesday, a red alert has been issued for Cuddalore, Ramanathapuram, Viluppuram, Sivaganga, and Karaikal in Tamil Nadu. Waterlogging due to rain has disrupted normal life.
