Good news for Mumbaikars, Mumbai local train will start from February 1

Mumbai: The Mumbai Local Train Services, the lifeline of the country’s economic capital Mumbai, will start for the general public from February 1. In fact, due to Coronavirus Pandemic, Mumbai local train service has been closed since March last year.

According to a report in the Maharashtra Times, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has announced that local train services will be started for all Mumbaikars from Monday, February 1. The State Government’s Department of Disaster Management, Relief and Rehabilitation has issued a statement in this regard. Recently, Uddhav Thackeray had hinted that the local train for the common man would be started soon.

Local train will run in shifts
All passengers will be able to travel from Parli local train in the morning till 7 a.m. and from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Apart from this all the passengers will be able to travel by local from 9 pm till the last local.

When Mumbaikars will not be able to travel
Ordinary passengers will not be allowed to travel by local train from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. and thereafter from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. During this time, only previously specified categories of passengers will be allowed to travel.
